Summer STEM Workshops
Led by our specialized STEM staff, STEM Workshops offer hands-on opportunities to dive into real-world science, technology, engineering, and math. Each day is filled with engaging activities designed to spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and inspire young learners. Many workshops are repeatable, so you can return and explore something new each time! With a variety of themes and scheduling options, STEM Workshops are a fun and exciting way to learn, explore, and grow.

Cool Chemists
Join us for a day of messy fun and hands-on learning in the world of chemistry! This workshop is perfect for youth who want to explore chemical reactions and get an introduction to chemistry. Throughout the day, youth will dive into the scientific process, making predictions, testing hypotheses, and observing reactions firsthand. From bubbling potions to colorful explosions, participants will conduct safe and exciting experiments that develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, all while having a blast with science!
STEMgineers
Build, design, and create your way through a day of engineering fun! In the STEMgineers Workshop, participants will use the engineering process to come up with solutions to real world environmental issues. From constructing sturdy bridges to inventing clever everyday solutions, participants will strengthen their teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills while discovering just how fun and impactful their ideas can be!
Animal Adventures
Join us for a day of adventure as we explore the natural world through hands on activities, games, and crafts focused on food chains, habitats, and the environment. Participants will investigate how animals interact with their habitats, build simple food webs, and learn how different environments support different species. From under the sea to the driest deserts, explore the different amazing ecosystems that make up our blue planet!
Under the Sound
Explore the hidden world right outside our back doors- Puget Sound! In this workshop we’ll learn about the amazing creatures and ecosystem that exists under the sea in the Pacific Northwest. From snails to sea lions, there’s an amazing world out there waiting to be explored! Through games, crafts, and challenges we’ll explore the different creatures that live here and how human’s impact the marine environment. Join us while we build a deeper understanding of our local sea life and why protecting our seas matters.

Curious Coders- Grades 3-6 ONLY
Step into the world of robotics and coding with LEGO EV3, no experience required! In this full-day adventure, participants will design, build, and code LEGO robots to take on exciting maze challenges through hands on block coding. Along the way, they’ll experiment, problem-solve, and work together to improve their code with every test. It’s a day packed with teamwork, creativity, and hands-on learning where kids discover how fun and accessible coding can be!
Artistic Alchemy
Explore the exciting blend of art and science through our creative Artistic Alchemy STEM workshop! Throughout the day participants will learn different ways of creating art with science, and how science, technology, engineering, and math is integrated into the world of art. Each activity blends critical thinking and problem solving with self-expression because science is not just about numbers, it’s about creativity, imagination, and discovery!
Crack the Code
Join us for an action-packed day of puzzles, challenges, and codes in our super spy themed STEM workshop! Throughout the day participants will solve brain-teasing puzzles, crack hidden codes, uncover secret messages, and use science, technology, engineering, and math to complete challenges! Are you up for the challenge? Sharpen your critical thinking and problem-solving skills with us and see if you can crack the code!
Environmental Engineers
Join us for a day of innovation as we take on real-world environmental challenges! Explore sustainable design, assess human’s impact on the environment, and build your own model of a sustainable solution to an environmental problem you’re passionate about. In this workshop we’ll have fun learning how engineering can help protect the environment while developing our critical thinking and teamwork skills. Join us to make your ideas come to life!
