  • Tired of the traffic and cost of parking?
  • Want to use public transportation now that the Link Light Rail has opened in Lynnwood?

Perhaps you don’t know how or just don’t feel comfortable yet using public transportation. Let’s change that!

Join us for a comprehensive workshop designed just for you!

What to Expect

  • 30-Minute Presentation: We will meet at the Mukilteo Y to learn the basics of riding transit, including how to get started, plan your trip, and ride the bus confidently.
  • Bus Ride to Lynnwood City Center Station: After the presentation, we’ll board a special transportation bus (no general riders) and head to Lynnwood City Center Station.
  • Visit the RideStore: Get your Senior reduced-fare ORCA card if you’re 65+ and don’t have one yet!
  • Walking Tour: Explore Lynnwood City Center Station, where you’ll learn how to transfer between the bus and Link Light Rail.
  • Important Notes: If you already have an ORCA card, please bring it! Everyone will receive a free pass for unlimited rides on all regional transit providers—your existing ORCA card number will be needed. This event aims to empower you to utilize public transportation with confidence.

We’re putting our knowledge of Community Transit to work. Join us for a fun excursion to the Seattle Center where we will visit the Museum of Pop Culture.

“Pop culture is world-shaping and multi-faceted. It defines us, and we define it. It’s constantly evolving, in form and in medium, and the only way to be a part of it is to immerse ourselves in it. That’s why there’s MOPOP.” Exhibits include: Power of Pop Culture, Guitar Gallery, Infinite World of Sci-Fi, Indie Game Revolution, Fantasy – World of Myth and Magic, Echos of African Music and Wild Blue Angel: Hendrix – among others.

We will meet at the McCollum Park Park and Ride at 8:30 to board a Community Transit bus to Link Light Rail in Lynnwood.

We will ride Light Rail to the Westlake Station and board the Seattle Monorail that will take us to Seattle Center and MOPOP.

  • Costs: $14.00
  • You will also need an Orca Card with at least $8.00 in funds required for your Community Transit fees.
  • A group lunch at MOPOP is planned and prices range from $10.00-$25.00.
