Camano Fire Department - "Cares" Program
The Camano Fire Dept is excited about this opportunity because they are just putting together a new program called “Cares”. The program is tailored for seniors and besides fire prevention, it should include such topics as:
- Home fall risks
- Medication
- Common mishap occurrences and what to do about them
- Home support such as getting necessary work accomplished
- Support setting up and getting to doctor/specialist appointments
- And other ways the department can offer assistance.
Event location: Camano Fire Station #3, 525 E. North Camano Drive. (Terry’s Corner)

FREE Community Transit Seminar and Bus Ride for Seniors
- Tired of the traffic and cost of parking?
- Want to use public transportation now that the Link Light Rail has opened in Lynnwood?
Perhaps you don’t know how or just don’t feel comfortable yet using public transportation. Let’s change that!
Join us for a comprehensive workshop designed just for you!
What to Expect
- 30-Minute Presentation: We will meet at the Mukilteo Y to learn the basics of riding transit, including how to get started, plan your trip, and ride the bus confidently.
- Bus Ride to Lynnwood City Center Station: After the presentation, we’ll board a special transportation bus (no general riders) and head to Lynnwood City Center Station.
- Visit the RideStore: Get your Senior reduced-fare ORCA card if you’re 65+ and don’t have one yet!
- Walking Tour: Explore Lynnwood City Center Station, where you’ll learn how to transfer between the bus and Link Light Rail.
- Important Notes: If you already have an ORCA card, please bring it! Everyone will receive a free pass for unlimited rides on all regional transit providers—your existing ORCA card number will be needed. This event aims to empower you to utilize public transportation with confidence.
Please give at least a 48-hour notification should you need to cancel your registration so that someone on the wait list may attend.

Day Trip to the Tulip Fields
Join us on a day trip to see the beautiful tulips in Mt. Vernon! Meet us at the Stanwood-Camano YMCA for a shuttle bus ride to the tulip fields. Included in your ticket is admission to ROOZENGAARDE. No outside food is allowed. You may bring a sack lunch for the YMCA shuttle ride or bring cash for food or drink at their cafe. 14 seats are available on our shuttle
- Dress for weather conditions (boots/raingear recommended depending on weather)

The Driftwood Players Present: The Mysterious Affair at Styles
This play is based on Agatha Christie’s novel – “The Mysterious Affair at Styles”. The Belgium detective Hercule Poirot is introduced, and EVERYONE is a suspect in the poisoning of an elderly mother. There are the typical twists and turns that you find in an Agatha Christie novel on the journey to discover whodunnit.

Additional Information:
The public City of Edmonds parking lot is free to park in. If for some reason the parking lot is already full by the time you arrive, parking along Main Street in front of the theatre on both sides of the street is also free. Our show starts at 2pm, however you can arrive as early as 1pm to the theatre when the ticket lobby opens. There are light concessions available by cash donation as well as a bar available for drink purchase. The House opens for people to start finding their seats starting at about 1:30pm.

Tour at Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum
Join us on a visit to the Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum at Pain Field in Everett, WA
The museum is a tribute to flight and the incredible achievements of the aviation industry. We hope to have guided docent tours as you visit the museum to see the incredible planes on display. Following the museum visit, you have an option to lunch at Brooklyn Brothers Pizza. The only cost is whatever you would like for lunch. The museum is now FREE!
Participants provide their own transportation.
