Diablo Lake & Lunch Tour
Join us for a fantastic trip to see the beautiful Lake Diablo
On the Diablo Lake & Lunch Tour, you will learn about the area’s natural history, biodiversity and geology, as well as the unique relationship between the North Cascades environment and the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project, which provides clean, low-cost, renewable power to the citizens of Seattle. The history of the Project and the area’s indigenous inhabitants are also included in this multifaceted tour.
As you cruise the glacier-fed Diablo Lake, you’ll learn about the surrounding wildlife habitat and enjoy views of snow-clad mountain peaks, islands and waterfalls. Experience parts of the lake that are hidden from view when traveling the highway or trails. Your tour will come alive with stories about human history in the area and the challenges of building the three Skagit River Hydroelectric Project dams and powerhouses in a very remote location.

Historic Everett Waterfront Harbor Tour
Calling all history buffs!
We begin our adventure with an early dinner (4:00 pm) at Scuttlebutt’s Restaurant on the Everett waterfront. Following dinner, it is recommended that you move your car to Jetty Landing Park where parking is free for 2 hours. You need to be at the ferry by 5:45 pm for the 6:00 pm sailing.
We will board the Jetty Island Ferry for a guided tour aboard the 60-passenger Argosy boat as we explore the Everett Waterfront and the diverse roles the Port of Everett plays along the waterfront. The guided tour explores Everett’s former mill-town days, when the lumber, fishing and maritime industries thrived. A local history buff will narrate this guided tour.
20 tickets are available. Participants provide their own transportation to the restaurant and Jetty Landing Park on the Everett Waterfront where parking is free.
Register online with your YMCA account or at the Welcome Center.
Fee: $12.00 plus the cost of your dinner
