Group Skate Lessons
Welcome Skaters! Learn to skate starting with the basics or push to the next level! Our caring skateboarding instructors will guide participants through the basics of pushing, pumping, grinding, and more! Lessons are held for 30 minutes and can be scheduled based on availability of instructor and participants. Cost group lessons (based on skill level): Up to 6 lessons, 2 weeks (3 lessons/week).
SKILL LEVELS
- Little Shredder | Ages 3-5
- Classified as young skaters who are new to the action sport. Lessons will emphasize getting comfortable standing, rolling and pushing on the board and flat surfaces. Little shredders will move to the next level when they age out of this program.
- Shredder (Beginner) | Ages 6+
- Classified as skaters who are new to the action sport. Lessons with shredders will emphasize getting comfortable standing, rolling, and pushing on the board on flat surfaces. Shredder level skateboarders usually will move to the next level when they can ride and push efficiently and are ready to go down straight and curved ramps.
- Thrasher (Intermediate)
- Classified as skaters who are comfortable enough on a skateboard to properly push and ride the board on flat surfaces and are ready to go down and up flat and curved ramps. Thrasher level skateboarders will move to the next level when they can comfortably go up and down straight ramps and show understanding and comfort in riding in bowls and curved ramps.
- Ripper (Advanced)
- Classified as skaters who are very comfortable on a skateboard. They are able to cruise around the park with little to no issues. Ramps, grinds, and tricks are skills they have obtained. They have the comfortability and mindset to combine certain variations of tricks. Rippers are the highest skill level class for lessons at THE MUK.
- Adult | Ages 21+
- This class is designed for adults who are new and want to learn the sport. Class will focus on getting comfortable standing, rolling and pushing on the board on flat surfaces.
