Nutrition 101
Welcome to Nutrition 101
In this course we will learn how to properly read food labels while also learning how to avoid the processed food sections while grocery shopping. As a group, we will dive into the importance of a “whole foods” way of eating. We will learn about Disease Prevention, utilizing good nutrition and the importance of exercise to obtain optimal health. Our course will end with a celebration in which we will have a small cooking demo utilizing the techniques learned during our time together!

Strength Training 101
Are you wanting to learn how to weight train properly, but don’t know how or where to start?
Then this is the small group for you. In this informative 10 session workshop you will learn proper body position and form for weight training. You will also learn basic training techniques such as Body Weight training, Dumbbell Training, Straight Bar Training, Cable Training, and Functional Training. You will wrap up this course by learning how to assemble all you have learned into a workout that is right for you.
Prerequisite: Please stop by the Front Desk or Health and Wellness office to sign up for your Weight Room Orientation. Completion of the Weight Room Orientation is required to begin this course.

Women Strong-Strength Training for Beginners
Women Strong will help you develop an understanding of fundamental weightlifting with the patterns of push, pull, squat, hinge, lunge, and carry. We will use kettlebells, barbells, and dumbbells, and will have the opportunity to play with battle ropes and slam balls. You can expect to push yourself past your comfort zone and find your strong.
